We bring students and employers together.
Finding a passion and carving a rewarding career path take time. That’s why the Career Management Center works with undergraduate and graduate students from the moment they become Biz Rams – and why we're still here after they graduate. It starts with providing one-on-one support and resources to help students and alumni explore who they are and what kind of career will fulfill them. Then we guide them through their internship or job search, helping them package and promote what they have to offer while connecting them with employers who are looking for job candidates with the knowledge and skills taught at the College of Business.
We collaborate closely with local, regional, and national employers to find highly qualified candidates for their organizations and establish the most successful fit for each position. We create customized recruiting plans to make the hiring process seamless for employers, immerse them in our many networking and career events, and help them post jobs in our specialized online job website.
The partnerships we create are a win-win – while employers find great talent and fresh ideas, students and alumni find rewarding careers where they can apply their knowledge and immediately play pivotal roles within the organizations that hire them. In fact, 90 percent of our graduates secure their plans within 90 days of graduation.
Self & Career Exploration
Preparing for a career in the global, competitive environment of business means taking a look at your interests, strengths, values, and lifestyle you desire. Our career counselors help students and alumni define their path and think holistically about how their career goals line up with their passion and talents.
Job Search & Talent Recruitment
We provide students and alumni guidance throughout the job search process, including resume and cover letter development, personal branding through social media and marketing counseling, mock interviews, and job offer evaluations. We also help employers identify, acquire, and retain talent for short- or long-term employment so they can gain skilled labor – and fresh perspectives – in a cost-effective way.
Networking and career events are a great opportunity for students and alumni to meet with employers. Students/alumni get to learn about potential careers, internships, and job opportunities while employers look for potential talent. We offer many networking opportunities, including the Job and Internship Expo, individual company mixers, industry panels, and much more.
Career Events & Programs
We coordinate and run numerous career-focused programs that help students and alumni explore opportunities, hone their job search strategy, learn about current trends in their career path, and prepare them for the business world. Some of these programs include refining their LinkedIn profiles and learning proper etiquette for a business dinner.
