Gain the skills to influence the way business gets done.

Organizations of any size, in any sector, are now able gather large amounts of data and information. Professionals with business intelligence (BI) are highly sought after to make sense of the numbers and create meaningful opportunities. BI is a decision support system that enables data-driven decision-making.

With this business intelligence certificate, you’ll learn how to enable, support, and create a data-driven culture in an organization. You’ll learn common functions, processes, and methods of business intelligence such as: reporting, data and text mining processes and related methodologies like CRISP-DM and SEMMA; complex event processing; performance management; and predictive and prescriptive analytics. You’ll gain hands-on experience designing, implementing, manipulating, and managing databases through a rigorous foundation in relational database management systems.

Every credit earned applies toward CSU’s online or on-campus Master of Computer Information Systems, after formal admission per University transfer policies. Successful completion of the courses or certificate does not guarantee admission to the degree program.
