The business we teach is steeped in values that go back to our land-grant roots. We believe in hard work, the power of ideas, and that doing the right thing is the only way to do business.

Academic Programs

Through your journey with us, you will work toward earning a Bachelor of Science in business administration. Our business foundation encourages critical thinking while exploring modern management theories, relevant business practices, and current industry trends. You’ll discover your interests along the way and begin to focus your studies based on your interests and talents. Then you can choose from ten concentrations to merge your academic focus with your career goals.

Concentrations

The only program of its kind in Colorado, our accelerated business degree can be completed in 3 to 3 ½ years and offers the same courses and concentrations as our traditional 4-year BSBA. Students will take courses over three years, including three summer sessions. This program allows students to prioritize their career goals while still receiving an excellent business education.

CSU students can complete 6 of their required All-University Core Curriculum courses by taking business and finance classes. In addition to completing their AUCC requirements, students can apply these same credits toward a Business Minor.

CSU students can pursue this 24-credit, broad business foundations minor developed specifically for non-business students. Minor courses will explore many aspects of business including accounting, finance, marketing, and management. There are no additional admissions requirements once enrolled at CSU, but students are required to attend a business minor declaration seminar and must maintain at least a C average in all required courses to earn a business minor.

The Minor in Music Business is a 21-credit program covering concepts and practical skills from general business and integrating it with a contemporary music business education. This Minor prepares you to understand and navigate an industry unlike no other. The primary function is to offer graduates a greater understanding of business generally and specifically the music business marketplace by learning the vocabulary and workings of the industry, identifying major stakeholders, and exploring career and entrepreneurial opportunities within this growing field.

CSU students can pursue this 24-credit minor. Courses will explore many aspects of real estate including selling, appraisal, real estate law, and principles of real estate finance. There are no additional admissions requirements once enrolled at CSU.

CSU students who have a strong desire to be engaged in entrepreneurship can pursue this 24-credit minor developed for business and non-business students. This cross-disciplinary program has a limited, competitive enrollment to facilitate a high-touch learning environment.

Through our partnership with Arapahoe Community College and Douglas County School District, students can build on an associate's degree and earn their bachelor's in accounting from CSU’s College of Business in two years while studying in Castle Rock, Colorado.

You may want to earn a certificate from the College of Business when you're looking to expand your program of study without having to add a full concentration. Business majors may choose from many certificates, and non-business majors may choose the entrepreneurship certificate. Certificates range from nine to 12 credits and will appear on your transcript once completed.
