How to Apply

To apply for College of Business scholarships, you must be admitted to Colorado State University and have declared business as your major (undergraduate students) or be admitted into a College of Business graduate program (graduate students). You will need to complete the Colorado State University Scholarship Application (CSUSA), which is available online from October 1st to March 1st.  

By submitting the CSUSA, you will be considered for all College of Business scholarships for which you're eligible. Some scholarships require additional application steps such as essays or letters of recommendation.

Important Dates

Feb. 15 – Deadline to apply for Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To be considered for need-based scholarships through the CSUSA, you must submit the (FAFSA).

March 1 – Deadline to apply for scholarships using the CSUSA is March 1 at 11 p.m. (MST).

May – Those selected to receive a scholarship will be notified via email. Recipients must complete all acceptance requirements detailed in their offer letter before it will be applied to your student account.

October 1 – CSUSA becomes available on RamWeb.

Accounting Department Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate or graduate students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and concentrating in accounting. They must show evidence of student leadership activity and volunteer involvement. The scholarship may be renewed if the eligibility criteria are met.

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate enrolled in the College of Business at Colorado State University and first generation of their immediate family to attend a university. They must demonstrate Leadership. Demonstrate financial need as established by the University's Office of financial Aid and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Preference given to students who participate in the Deans Student Leadership Council (DSLC). Preference shall also be given to students who are actively involved in the Women in Business Association (The scholarship may be renewable if the recipients continue to meet all criteria, reapply annually and are selected by the scholarship committee).

Applicants must be outstanding College of Business undergraduate or graduate accounting students. They must maintain an overall GPA of 3.2. Preference will be given to non-traditional students – students who did not enter college immediately after high school or who had an interruption in their college education and had to take time off.

Barber Family Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Business pursuing a degree in Business Administration, have an academic concentration in one or more of the following areas: Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Finance, Financial Planning, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Management, Real Estate or Human Resource Management, be a first generation college student within the student’s immediate family, demonstrate financial need as established by the Office of Financial Aid and be in good academic standing while maintaining an overall 3.0 GPA.  Freshman recipient(s) shall be scored in the top 20% of the college admissions index utilized by CSU (Scholarship renewable through the completion of undergraduate degree, with a limit of 4 continuous years, if the recipient continues to meet all criteria, reapplies annually and is selected by the scholarship committee).

Applicants must be a sophomore-level or higher student enrolled in Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration within the College of Business at Colorado State University. Applicants must be full-time sophomore pursuing a Business Administration degree within the College of Business at Colorado State University, demonstrate financial need as established by the Office of Financial Aid of CSU, a first generation student, active member of the Women in Business student organization, or otherwise demonstrate commitment to advancing women’s career opportunities in business. Preference given to a student with an academic concentration offered by the Department of Finance and Real Estate (May be renewable for each recipient for up to four years in which they are a regularly enrolled student and re-apply).

Applicants must be full-time freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior level students In College of Business with a minimum 2.8 GPA, provide demonstrated commitment to community and display in a two-page essay a firm understanding of enterprise software, specifically, financial/accounting systems, supply chain, manufacturing and/or customer relationship management systems – component of essay should articulate career aspirations in Product Management, Product Marketing or Product Sales area(s) of enterprise software.

Bowden Family Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students concentrating in marketing. They must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or better and demonstrate financial need. They must complete an essay on career goals, their motivation for earning a degree, and where they expect their lives to be in five, 10 and 20 years. his scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Brisnehan Family Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate enrolled in the College of Business at Colorado State University with a minimum 3.25 GPA, a first generation student (neither parent or student has received a bachelor’s or graduate degree) and demonstrate financial need as established by University’s Office of Financial Aid. (The scholarship may be renewable for 4 years if the recipient continues to meet all criteria requirements).

Business Diversity and Leadership Alliance Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate student in College of Business. Major in Business Administration with a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher after first CSU semester, a current Business Diversity and Leadership Alliance (BDLA) member and must have completed US496V - Social Justice and Leadership - must have included presenting at least one workshop or training with an advisor within the College of Business or elsewhere on campus.

Applicants must be College of Business undergraduate students. Consideration will be given to academic performance and extracurricular activities in high school. Preference will be given to a Routt Counter High School who is entering as a first-year student.

Children of Business Alumni Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate first-year, sophomore, junior, or senior students.. They must have a least one parent or grandparent who is a graduate of CSU's College of Business. They must demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities on campus and/or in their home community. They must maintain an overall GPA of 2.5. This scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Chris Collins Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate juniors or seniors with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. They must be enrolled in or accepted into a CSU-approved study abroad program. They must demonstrate desire for global understanding through student leadership activities, coursework, or other means. Preference will be given to students with a concentration in marketing. Recipients should be selected by a scholarship committee appointed by the dean of the College of Business.

Applicants must be full-time junior or senior. GPA of 3.2 or higher. Financial need. Evidence of school leadership activity.

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate student in College of Business, a Major in Accounting, Junior or senior class level with an overall 3.0 GPA in the major that demonstrates financial need and a member of Beta Alpha Psi.

COB Sports Marketing Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate student in College of Business. Major in Marketing. Junior or senior class level. Maintain an overall 3.2 GPA. Demonstrate an interest in Sports Marketing by writing a brief essay on topic selected by College of Business.

CoBank Business Scholarship

Applicants must be College of Business sophomores, juniors, or seniors with a GPA of 3.2 or higher. First preference with be given to students with a finance or banking career interest. Preference will be given to students who are residents of: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Texas.

College of Business DSLC Exceptional Leader Scholarship

Applicants must be an undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Business at Colorado State University who participates in the Dean’s Student Leadership Council (DSLC), pursuing an degree in Business Administration and demonstrates leadership accomplishments within the College of Business DSLC. They must demonstrate a personal alignment with the College of Business’s core values and the DSLC “purpose” (as described in the DSLC Constitution), an active and engaged participant within the College of Business and the University communities, demonstrate visionary leadership that empowers others and themselves to “Make a Difference” (scholarship may be renewable if the recipient continues to meet all criteria, reapplies annually and is selected by the scholarship committee).

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate student in College of Business, any major within College of Business program, any class level with an overall 3.0 GPA (financial need applicants) or 3.50 GPA (merit based applicants).

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate freshman in College of Business. Major in Business Administration. Overall 3.0 GPA. Participant in College of Business Mentoring Program as a Mentee. Letter of recommendation from COB Mentor required.

Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association/Edwin M. Rosser, MAI Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time junior or senior enrolled in the College of Business in good standing. Have taken a real estate principles class. Have a minimum 3.0 GPA  Provide an essay responding to the question: " Affordable/attainable housing continues to remain a problem across the state of Colorado. Please share your views on the causes of the affordability/attainable housing crisis and provide us with your thoughts and ideas on possible solution to this problem.". Provide evidence of strong leadership skills and community service commitments (If scholarship is awarded to a junior, it may be renewable for the senior year if all scholarship criteria are met, they re-apply and the recipient is selected by the scholarship committee)

Cornerstone Home Lending Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate juniors or seniors with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. They must demonstrate strong leadership and community and answer the following essay question in essay format: "Does everyone deserve the American dream of home ownership? Why or why not?" This scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate juniors or seniors concentrating in real estate. They must have demonstrated commitment to the pursuit of corporate real estate as a professional career upon graduation.

Applicants must be a full time College of Business undergraduate students or first-year students who demonstrate significant financial need. They must maintain an overall 3.2 GPA. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years if the recipient reapplies and is selected by the scholarship committee and criteria are met.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate or graduate student demonstrating evidence of student leadership activity and volunteer involvement. They are required to maintain an overall minimum GPA of 3.0. The scholarship may be renewed if criteria are met.

Delta Sigma Pi Mu Rho Chapter Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Business. Major in Business Administration. GPA of 3.2 in major. Must be an active member of Delta Sigma Pi, who demonstrates leadership qualities, high involvement within the fraternity, and promise in the business community.

Dennis W. Wagner Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Business with academic concentrations in Finance or Accounting. Have attained “Senior” grade class status. Demonstrate financial need as established by the Office of Financial Aid of CSU. Be a first generation college student within the student’s immediate family. (The scholarship is available for one year only and is not renewable).

Diversity Matters College of Business

Applicants must be undergraduate full-time (12 hrs) or part-time (6 hrs) or graduate full-time (9 hrs) or Part-time (3 hrs) enrolled in the College of Business at Colorado State University. Preference be given to a student who contributes to the diversity of the campus community. This includes historically underrepresented students and/or students that are involved in one or more of the Student Diversity Programs and Services Offices. Such organizations within the College of Business include the Business Diversity Leadership Alliance (BDLA) and the Latinx Business Association, or other campus diversity organizations such as: Black/African American Cultural Center (B/AACC), Asian Pacific American Cultural Center (APACC), El Centro, Pride Resource Center, Native American Cultural Center (NACC), or otherwise have involvement in organizations that have a commitment to advancing diversity in business.

Dobler Family Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors. They must demonstrate a commitment to extracurricular activities (i.e. music, drama, athletics, student government, etc.) or to service in the larger community. In a situation of two equally meritorious applicants, preference could be given to the applicant demonstrating greater financial need. They must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25. The scholarship may be renewed annually if criteria are met. Preference shall be given to the original recipient(s) who reapply.

Don O. Nelson Memorial Accounting Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business fifth-year accounting students who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher upon application. They must be pursuing coursework that enables them to meet the education requirement to sit for the Colorado CPA. There must be evidence of student leadership activity and volunteer involvement at CSU. The scholarship may be renewed if criteria are met.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business students demonstrating financial need. They must have graduated from a Colorado high school and be eligible for work-study. (If they have gross need, they are qualified.) Preference will be given to first-generation students.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate first-year students studying any concentration with an overall 3.3 high school GPA or higher. They must be a graduate of Central High School in Pueblo.

Applicants must be part-time working students concentrating in CIS who demonstrate external CIS leadership and activities. They must demonstrate financial need and maintain an overall 2.5 GPA. Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students and members of Beta Alpha Psi or a pledge in good standing. They must be studying accounting and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must exhibit leadership, service to and involvement in the campus, college, and/or the accounting department communities.

Applicants must be outstanding College of Business graduate students who have demonstrated excellence in on-campus and off-campus leadership, as well as excellence in motivation, drive to succeed, and humanitarianism. They must show an interest in the liberal arts. Preference shall be given to members of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity.

Everitt Real Estate Center Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students concentrating in finance and real estate. Their overall GPA must be a 3.2 and their real estate GPA must be a 3.5. Consideration will be given to club, extracurricular, and professional activities. Financial need may be considered. Preference will be given to students with a real estate concentration.

Applicants must be academically strong full-time freshman, sophomore, junior or senior level in Business. Minimum GPA of 3.5 upon application. Applicants must be sophomore, junior or senior the year the award is received. Recipient must remain a student in Business for the term of the scholarship. Required to carry 12+ cr/semester; 3.0+ cum GPA; US citizen. Limited to 1 Fac/Staff scholarship/per year; must reapply each year.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate juniors or seniors with a GPA of 3.2 or higher. They must demonstrate financial need, and there must be evidence of school leadership activity. Applicants should be new or returning finance and real estate students.

Applicants must be enrolled in the College of Business at Colorado State University. Business Major with Marketing concentration.

First Generation Business Summit Scholarship

Applicants must be first year undergraduate enrolled in the College of Business at Colorado State University. First Generation Business Summit competition team winner. If not awarded to team winners (if team winner elects not to come to CSU), then scholarship would be open up to first generation, first year undergraduate students.

FirstBank Scholars Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students. There may be one real estate and one new admit recipient; all others must be juniors or seniors. Applicants must be Colorado residents and classified as "in-state" students for tuition. They must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and demonstrate involvement in the community, campus, civic activities, or employment.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students who demonstrate leadership experience and financial need. They must maintain an overall 3.5 GPA concentrating in accounting, computer information systems, or management. Applicants must be junior or senior Accounting and Taxation major. Maintain a cumulative 3.5 GPA.  Active involvement in the University community. Applicants must be enrolled in the College of Business at Colorado State University. 1st Generation student. 3.5 GPA or higher. Applicants must be a graduate of a Colorado high school accepted into the CSU College of Business. They must demonstrate significant financial need. The scholarship may be renewed if the recipient reapplies annually and criteria are met. They must adequately document such information including but not limited to why they deserve the scholarship, goals leading to a career in business, and leadership skills. This scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Applicants must be full-time OR part-time (minimum six hours) College of Business graduate students in any program. They must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must submit a short essay discussing how they believe their future plans reflect their pioneer spirit.

Gary Halley-Veterans Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate or graduate students concentrating in any area. They must have an overall 3.0 GPA and currently be serving in the military (Coast Guard, Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines) or show proof of honorable discharge from the military or evidence of being a surviving dependent of a service member who died while on active duty.

As funding allows, the Impact MBA Scholarship Committee awards one or more of these scholarships based on the merit of the applicant.

The recipient(s) of the scholarship shall initially be first-year students accepted and enrolled in the College of Business. Preference shall be given to applicants who have graduated from a high school in northeastern Colorado. Preference shall also be given to applicants who have a primary residence in a rural community. They must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in the two semesters prior to the scholarship application submittal. Preference will be given to student pursuing a concentration in real estate or concurrently pursuing a major in construction management and a minor in business. If no applicants fit these criteria, the scholarship may be awarded to a student majoring in business or construction management who meets all other criteria.

They must be first-generation students from Colorado, specifically El Paso or Pueblo counties, and demonstrate financial need. They must be a graduate of a Colorado high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 at CSU for renewal. They must demonstrate strong desire to complete an undergraduate degree in the College of Business and there should be evidence of how their goals will lead to a career in business. They must demonstrate a history of volunteerism and involvement in sports. The scholarship committee shall present the finalist to the dean, who shall make the final selection after discussion with the donor. The scholarship may be renewed if criteria are met.
