About

Cassie Shearholdt, M.A. (she / her), has been with the College of Business’s Career Management Center since March 2019. She started working in student support roles as an undergraduate student and continued working in higher education after graduating, focusing her professional work in student career development. She has spent a decade in college career development in a variety of roles, including as an internship coordinator, career counselor, and instructor of career development courses. She has worked in several public higher education institutions, from an urban community college system to large, suburban 4-year universities.

Since joining CSU, Cassie has been focused on career counseling and occasionally instructed or supported career development courses like BUS 100, BUS 105, and BUS 515. Cassie is passionate about working with students, particularly first-years, and supporting identity development, self-understanding, and exploration of majors, careers, and campus engagement. She enjoys developing deep relationships with students and graduates as they determine and pursue their goals, guiding them through challenges with empathy and encouragement, and celebrating their ultimate success.
