Barbara Valusek, M.Ed., LPC is a career counselor in the College of Business Career Management Center working with undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni in career transition. She serves as an Instructional Coordinator in the Career Management Class for MBA students. Barbara is known for her calming presence, positivity, and confidence-building demeanor. As a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, she loves helping students discover their strengths and find meaningful internships and careers in the workplace. Her experience ranges from major and career exploration to providing all aspects of job search strategies. She works with international students in navigating the job/internship search. Barbara is also a Licensed Professional Counselor, bringing empathy and empowerment to each encounter. She enjoys spending time with her husband and cat, loves hiking in the mountains, and savors moments of silence and introspection.
