ABOUT

Barbara Valusek, M.Ed., LPCC is a career counselor in the College of Business Career Management Center working with graduate and undergraduate students, as well as alumni in career transition. She serves as an Instructional Coordinator in the Career Management Class for MBA students. Barbara is known for her calming presence, positivity, and confidence-building demeanor. As a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, she loves helping students discover their strengths and find meaningful internships and careers in the workplace. Her experience ranges from major and career exploration to providing all aspects of job search strategies. She has worked with international students in navigating visas and job search. Barbara is a Licensed Professional Counselor candidate, bringing empathy and empowerment to each encounter. She spends part of her time outside of CSU in private practice coaching adults in career transition, enjoying time with her husband and cat, and hiking in the mountains.
