From pitch to launch in 3 days!
Develop your startup idea, get feedback, form teams and work with mentors to learn what it takes to create a company in just one weekend.
What is Startup Weekend?
Startup Weekend is a 3-day event hosted by CSU’s College of Business Institute for Entrepreneurship. This interactive event is for students and community members who want to launch a startup, develop relationships with leading entrepreneurs, and better understand the steps it takes to get from brainstorming to being in business. On the last day, teams will pitch the concepts they created to an expert panel of judges.
It all starts with your big idea!
Do you have an idea but don’t know where to start to make it a reality? Are you passionate about solving complex problems but want to ensure your solution is sustainable and makes an impact? Do you want to build on your abilities to work with diverse teams?
Startup Weekend will help you gain hands-on entrepreneurial skills critical to accomplishing your goals while providing opportunities to network with savvy business leaders, entrepreneurs and others who share your drive to create and make an impact. You'll give your own startup pitch and listen to others’ ideas, vote on the most interesting ones, form teams around the top concepts, then get to work. And that’s just the first day!
Whether you’re in the arts, engineering, veterinary medicine, computer science, business or another discipline, startup weekend is about innovating with others to pitch the next big idea.
No idea or team? No problem, find them both here! Just register to participate and we’ll get you set up at the event.
Want to support your friends and classmates? Attend the free pitch night finale on Sunday, Feb, 25 and experience startup concepts becoming a reality.
When does it take place?
Startup Weekend begins the evening of Friday, Feb. 23, and is followed by two full days of ideation, business development, coaching and team conversations leading up to the pitch night on Sunday.
