Colorado State University's Executive MBA builds a comprehensive business foundation

Colorado State University's Executive MBA is a 42-credit blended learning program that builds a comprehensive business foundation by encouraging peer-to-peer learning.AACSB Accredited

Between classes, you will take part in online lectures from College of Business faculty, virtually collaborate with classmates, and participate in real-world case studies, innovative projects, and online simulations.

Program at a Glance
Delivery: Blend of face-to-face (60%) and online learning (40%)
Location: Denver, CO, plus three 3- or 4-day residencies in Fort Collins and one 10-day international residency
Length: 21 months (five semesters–includes one summer)
Start Date: August
Schedule: Every other Saturday face-to-face plus online learning

1. Tuition is charged at $1,726 per credit hour.
2. Program tuition includes instructional fees, university technology fee, books and materials, meals during class days, on-campus residency expenses (including lodging and meals), and international trip residency expenses (including logistics, lodging, intra-program transportation, and most meals).

How We Calculate Tuition and Fees

Residency status is not a factor in determining online, distance, or off-campus tuition rates.

Charges will vary, depending on the student’s actual registration and course of study. Additional University fees also may apply.

CSU reserves the right to change tuition rates without notice. Tuition rates – based on academic years – are subject to increase on an annual basis and subject to Board of Governor approval. All prices refer to U.S. currency.

When you're ready to apply to the College of Business Executive MBA, we're here to help. We want your application process to be smooth and successful, so please reach out to us.

Eligibility and Requirements

Executive MBA applicants generally must meet or exceed the following criteria:1

  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year institution in any field with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • A minimum of eight years of professional work experience
  • International applicants: Internet-based2 TOEFL score of 86 or higher, or an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher, or a PTE score of 58 or higher
1. While we encourage our students to meet the minimum criteria, failure to meet one may be offset by strengths in other areas, as determined by the Graduate Program Committee.
2. Other testing formats may be accepted. Please contact us for information.
No GMAT is required to apply to the Executive MBA program. Curious why?

Application Process

The time it takes to complete the application process mostly depends on how long it takes you to gather your materials. Completing your portion quickly will allow us to give you a decision sooner. The information below should help you with the application process, but please contact us if you have any questions.

We accept applications for fall admission only. The application deadline is July 1. We strongly suggest that you not wait until the deadline, but submit your application well in advance. Admissions are competitive and made on a rolling basis.

  1. Submit CSU Graduate School Application online
    • Visit gradadmissions.colostate.edu/apply to start your application.
    • Under "Select an application type," choose the term that you are applying to.
    • Under "Program," choose Business Administration (M.B.A.) – Denver Executive
    • Request/upload application materials directly to your online application and then submit.
      As soon as you have completed the required information, please submit your application. You do not need to wait for recommendations, scores, or transcripts to move your application forward.
  2. Pay the application fee

    Use a credit card to pay your application fee ($60 for domestic applicants, $70 for international applicants).

  3. Submit the online applicant data sheet

    Use your CSU ID number to complete and submit the College of Business applicant data sheet. After you submit your application online, you will receive a CSU ID number in approximately two to three days, unless you already have one (alumni and current students).

  4. Check your status

    We know you are eager to hear about your application status, so you can check it any time to make sure your application is complete or to keep an eye on updates. You will receive a confirmation email once your application is complete.
