College of Business scholarships are awarded to undergraduate and graduate students based on a variety of criteria, including merit, financial need, major, volunteer and leadership involvement, or being the first in your family to attend college, among others.

More than 115 College of Business scholarships are available, ranging from $1,000 to full tuition. Fill out one application, and you will be considered for all College of Business scholarships for which you are eligible.

Scholarships also are available through the University and outside the University.

How to Apply

To apply for College of Business scholarships, you must be admitted to Colorado State University and have declared business as your major (undergraduate students) or be admitted into a College of Business graduate program (graduate students). You will need to complete the Colorado State University Scholarship Application (CSUSA), which is available online from October 1st to March 1st.  

By submitting the CSUSA, you will be considered for all College of Business scholarships for which you're eligible. Some scholarships require additional application steps such as essays or letters of recommendation.

Feb. 15 – Deadline to apply for Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To be considered for need-based scholarships through the CSUSA, you must submit the (FAFSA).

March 1 – Deadline to apply for scholarships using the CSUSA.

May – Those selected to receive a scholarship will be notified via email. Recipients must complete all acceptance requirements detailed in their offer letter before it will be applied to your student account.

October 1 – CSUSA becomes available on RamWeb.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate or graduate students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and concentrating in accounting. They must show evidence of student leadership activity and volunteer involvement. The scholarship may be renewed if the eligibility criteria are met.

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students studying any concentration and demonstrating financial need. They must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0. Applicants must prepare an essay discussing how the scholarship would be transformation in their life and what dreams and/or goals they have for using their education upon graduation.

Applicants must be enrolled in the College of Business at Colorado State University. Applicants must have first generation college students within the students' immediate families

Anderson Whitney Scholarship

Applicants must be College of Business undergraduate students concentrating in accounting. They are selected by the dean's appointed scholarship selection committee. Preference will be given to students who have completed over 60 credit hours. Preference will be given to students who have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Baird, Kurtz and Dobson Accounting Scholarship

Applicants must be College of Business undergraduate juniors or seniors specializing in accounting and taxation. They must maintain a cumulative 3.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. The scholarship may be renewed if criteria are met.

Applicants must be College of Business student of any class level, graduate or undergraduate, studying accounting. They must have an overall GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need.

Barbara Obester Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be outstanding College of Business undergraduate or graduate accounting students. They must maintain an overall GPA of 3.2. Preference will be given to non-traditional students – students who did not enter college immediately after high school or who had an interruption in their college education and had to take time off.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate seniors who demonstrate financial need. They must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0.

BDLA Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students. They must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher after their first semester at CSU. They must be a current Business Diversity Leadership Alliance (BDLA) member and have completed BUS496. They must have presented at least one workshop or training with an advisor within the College of Business or elsewhere on campus. This scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Beta Alpha Psi Scholarship

Applicants must be College of Business undergraduate or graduate students. They must be members of Beta Alpha Psi, concentrating in accounting, computer information systems, or finance. They must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Bob Dillon Enterprise Software Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate first-year, sophomore, junior, or senior students concentrating in computer information systems. They must have a minimum 2.8 GPA and demonstrate a commitment to community. They must display in a two-page essay a firm understanding of enterprise software, specifically, financial/accounting systems, supply chain, manufacturing and/or customer relationship management systems. A component of the essay should articulate career aspirations in product management, product marketing or product sales area(s) of enterprise software. This scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Bowden Family Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students concentrating in marketing. They must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or better and demonstrate financial need. They must complete an essay on career goals, their motivation for earning a degree, and where they expect their lives to be in five, 10 and 20 years. his scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Applicants must be College of Business undergraduate students. Consideration will be given to academic performance and extracurricular activities in high school. Preference will be given to a Routt Counter High School who is entering as a first-year student.

Children of Business Alumni Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate first-year, sophomore, junior, or senior students.. They must have a least one parent or grandparent who is a graduate of CSU's College of Business. They must demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities on campus and/or in their home community. They must maintain an overall GPA of 2.5. This scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Chris Collins Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate juniors or seniors with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. They must be enrolled in or accepted into a CSU-approved study abroad program. They must demonstrate desire for global understanding through student leadership activities, coursework, or other means. Preference will be given to students with a concentration in marketing. Recipients should be selected by a scholarship committee appointed by the dean of the College of Business.

CIS General Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate juniors or seniors with a GPA of 3.2 or higher and demonstrate financial need. They must be concentrating in CIS, and there must be evidence of school leadership activity.

CoBank Business Scholarship

Applicants must be College of Business sophomores, juniors, or seniors with a GPA of 3.2 or higher. First preference with be given to students with a finance or banking career interest. Preference will be given to students who are residents of: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Texas.

College of Business Education Abroad Scholarship

Applicant must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students, studying any concentration and of any class level. They must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above and demonstrate financial need, or have an overall GPA of 3.5 or above if they do not demonstrate financial need. The application includes two questions (essay) that must be answered.
1) Why did you choose this study abroad program, and how will it directly contribute to your studies at CSU and to your future career goals?
2) Explain why you are a strong candidate for either the need-based or merit-based College of Business Education Abroad Scholarship. Please speak to academic, extracurricular, and personal achievements and/or the impact (financial or personal) that receiving this scholarship will have.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate or graduate students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. They must show evidence of student leadership activity and volunteer involvement.

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate juniors or seniors with at least two semesters left. They must be concentrating in marketing and maintain an over 3.2 GPA. They must demonstrate an interest in sports marketing through a brief essay on the topic. This scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Colorado Business Bank Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students of any class level studying any concentration, but they must show an interest in business banking. They must have an overall GPA of 3.0 and be a first-generation student demonstrating financial aid. Applicants must be Colorado residents.

Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association/Edwin M. Rosser, MAI Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate juniors or seniors studying any concentration. They must have an overall 3.0 GPA and a 3.2 GPA in their concentration. They must have completed the Real Estate Principles class and provide evidence of strong leadership skills and community service. They must answer the following question in essay format: "Current trends show that millennials are waiting longer to pursue home ownership than other generations. Why do you feel this is?" This scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Cornerstone Home Lending Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate juniors or seniors with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. They must demonstrate strong leadership and community and answer the following essay question in essay format: "Does everyone deserve the American dream of home ownership? Why or why not?" This scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate juniors or seniors concentrating in real estate. They must have demonstrated commitment to the pursuit of corporate real estate as a professional career upon graduation.

Applicants must be a full time College of Business undergraduate students or first-year students who demonstrate significant financial need. They must maintain an overall 3.2 GPA. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years if the recipient reapplies and is selected by the scholarship committee and criteria are met.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate juniors or seniors majoring in accounting or computer information systems. They must have an overall GPA of 3.1 or above and demonstrate service to the community.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate sophomores, juniors, or seniors who identify as a male. Selection is based on financial need and academic ability. This scholarship is not automatically renewed. This scholarship is awarded by the University and applicants are part of a University-wide pool.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate or graduate student demonstrating evidence of student leadership activity and volunteer involvement. They are required to maintain an overall minimum GPA of 3.0. The scholarship may be renewed if criteria are met.

Dobler Family Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors. They must demonstrate a commitment to extracurricular activities (i.e. music, drama, athletics, student government, etc.) or to service in the larger community. In a situation of two equally meritorious applicants, preference could be given to the applicant demonstrating greater financial need. They must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25. The scholarship may be renewed annually if criteria are met. Preference shall be given to the original recipient(s) who reapply.

Don O. Nelson Memorial Accounting Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business fifth-year accounting students who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher upon application. They must be pursuing coursework that enables them to meet the education requirement to sit for the Colorado CPA. There must be evidence of student leadership activity and volunteer involvement at CSU. The scholarship may be renewed if criteria are met.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business students demonstrating financial need. They must have graduated from a Colorado high school and be eligible for work-study. (If they have gross need, they are qualified.) Preference will be given to first-generation students.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate first-year students studying any concentration with an overall 3.3 high school GPA or higher. They must demonstrate financial need and show current involvement in extracurricular activities such as: athletics, student government, theater, or other volunteer and/or community activities. They must be a graduate of Central High School in Pueblo.

Applicants must be part-time working students concentrating in CIS who demonstrate external CIS leadership and activities. They must demonstrate financial need and maintain an overall 2.5 GPA. Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students concentrating in finance and real estate. Their overall GPA must be a 3.2 and their real estate GPA must be a 3.5. Consideration will be given to club, extracurricular, and professional activities. Financial need may be considered. Preference will be given to students with a real estate concentration.

Applicants must be an academically strong full-time first-year students, sophomores, juniors, or seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.5 upon application. They must demonstrate a personal history of community service or leadership activities and a firm understanding of current issues in business in a two-page written essay. The scholarship shall be provided on the basis of merit. This scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Faculty/Staff Scholarship - College of Business

Applicants must be sophomores, juniors or seniors the year the award is received and they must remain a College of Business student for the term of the scholarship. Applicants are required to carry 12+ credits a semester and maintain a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA. Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Faculty/staff scholarships are limited to one per year.

Finance and Real Estate Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate juniors or seniors with a GPA of 3.2 or higher. They must demonstrate financial need, and there must be evidence of school leadership activity. Applicants should be new or returning finance and real estate students.

FirstBank Scholars Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students. There may be one real estate and one new admit recipient; all others must be juniors or seniors. Applicants must be Colorado residents and classified as "in-state" students for tuition. They must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and demonstrate involvement in the community, campus, civic activities, or employment.

Forney Industries Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students who demonstrate leadership experience and financial need. They must maintain an overall 3.5 GPA concentrating in accounting, computer information systems, or management. The scholarship may be renewed if the recipient reapplies each year and criteria are met.

Fort Collins Board of Realtors Future of Real Estate Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business sophomores, juniors, or seniors concentrating in real estate. They must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, and a major GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must demonstrate involvement in Real Estate Club activities and have a stated interest in residential real estate. This is not a need-based scholarship; however, all else being equal, preference shall be given to a student with the most demonstrated need.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate juniors concentrating in accounting or finance. They must have an overall 3.0 GPA and a major GPA of 3.4. They must be members of Beta Alpha Psi.

Applicants must be a graduate of a Colorado high school accepted into the CSU College of Business. They must demonstrate significant financial need. They must demonstrate community involvement through volunteer organizations, university clubs, or personal experience. They must maintain an overall minimum GPA of 3.0. The scholarship may be renewed if the recipient reapplies annually and criteria are met. They must adequately document such information including but not limited to why they deserve the scholarship, goals leading to a career in business, and leadership skills. This scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Gary Halley Pioneer Spirit Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time OR part-time (minimum six hours) College of Business graduate students in any program. They must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must submit a short essay discussing how they believe their future plans reflect their pioneer spirit.

Gary Halley-Veterans Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate or graduate students concentrating in any area. They must have an overall 3.0 GPA and currently be serving in the military (Coast Guard, Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines) or show proof of honorable discharge from the military or evidence of being a surviving dependent of a service member who died while on active duty.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students demonstrating student leadership experience. They must maintain an overall 3.0 GPA. The scholarship may be renewed if the recipient reapplies and criteria are met.

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate juniors or seniors concentrating in finance with a focus on insurance. They must maintain a 3.0 GPA and write an essay describing why they are deserving of the award.

Impact MBA International Student Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business Impact MBA students with international student status. The must have an overall and major GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need. The student must live in on-campus housing.

Impact MBA Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business Impact MBA students. They must demonstrate a history of social responsibility activities and have the potential for creating an entrepreneurial venture or to stimulate change toward solving global challenges such as environmental degradation, climate change, or poverty.

Impact, Sustainability, and International Scholarship

As funding allows, the Impact MBA Scholarship Committee awards one or more of these scholarships based on the merit of the applicant.
You must be accepted into the Impact MBA program to be considered for a scholarship. You must maintain good academic standing (3.0 or higher) in order to keep the award.
All admitted students will be considered for these scholarships. Applications
received by the early priority deadline will be given preference.

Jack and Tonia Queen Business Scholarship

The recipient(s) of the scholarship shall initially be first-year students accepted and enrolled in the College of Business. They must be first-generation students with residency in Colorado, demonstrate financial need as established by CSU's Office of Financial Aid, and maintain an overall 3.0 GPA. Preference shall be given to applicants who have graduated from a high school in northeastern Colorado. Preference shall also be given to applicants who have a primary residence in a rural community. The scholarship shall be awarded to a first-year student and may be renewed for up to three years if criteria are met.

Applicants must be College of Business juniors or seniors. Awards are based on financial need and academic record (B average). Applicants must show promise of success in the business profession.

Livingston Real Estate and Development Scholarship

Applicants must be part-time of full-time College of Business undergraduate majors or minors demonstrating an interest in commercial real estate, which may be, but is not limited to, participation in a real estate club, an internship, or employment with a real estate firm. They must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in the two semesters prior to the scholarship application submittal. Preference will be given to student pursuing a concentration in real estate or concurrently pursuing a major in construction management and a minor in business. If no applicants fit these criteria, the scholarship may be awarded to a student majoring in business or construction management who meets all other criteria.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business Impact MBA students. They must maintain residency from a country within the African continent. Applicants must be full-time College of Business first-year students obtaining their first bachelor's degree. They must be Colorado residents who demonstrates financial need. They must be eligible for half Commitment to Colorado (HCTC). They must be in good academic standing and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years (eight semesters) if the recipient reapplies.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business first-year students obtaining their first bachelor's degree. They must be a Colorado resident who demonstrates financial need. This scholarship covers full tuition and may be renewed if the recipient reapplies.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business fifth-year accounting students pursuing coursework that enables them to meet the education requirement to sit for the Colorado CPA exam. They must have a GPA or 3.0 or higher and there must be evidence of student leadership activity and volunteer involvement.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate sophomores, juniors, or seniors who identify as male. Awards are based on financial need and academic achievement. Applicants must have attended CSU for one year prior to receiving the award. The award is not automatically renewed. Northern Colorado Commercial Association of Realtors Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate juniors or seniors concentrating in real estate. They must have an overall GPA of 3.2 and have demonstrated an active role in clubs/community service/volunteer work, internships and/or professional experience. They must have completed or be enrolled in no less than six credit hours of real estate courses. They must complete the following essay: "Describe why you have chosen a real estate major as well as your long term career aspirations."

Organization of American States Global Partnership Award

The Organization of American States (OAS), through the Department of Human Development, education and Employment and Colorado State University, through the OAS Partnerships Program for Education and Training, are offering scholarships to qualified candidates of the Americas. Peace Corps Coverdell Fellowship

The Peace Corps Coverdell Fellowship includes a discount to in-state tuition rates (if applicable) plus a graduate assistantship. Read more information about the assistantship requirements. In the third semester, there is an internship requirement as well.

The Impact MBA Scholarship Committee awards up to two of these fellowships based on the merit of the applicant. You must be accepted into the Impact MBA program to be considered for the award. You must maintain good academic standing (3.0 or higher) in order to keep the award.

Please indicate in your resume on your application to the Impact MBA program that you were a Peace Corps Volunteer, and complete the application for a Graduate Assistantship. Please note that the information provided in the assistantship application will be used for matching you to a professor or unit, but the award decision will be based on your application to the Impact MBA program.

Preference will be given to students who have held a job or are currently employed while attending school. The scholarship may be renewed if the recipient reapplies.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate or graduate computer information systems students who demonstrate financial need. They must demonstrate qualities of initiative, honor, and leadership potential evidenced by extracurricular activities or recommendations from faculty. They must demonstrate the ability to earn a portion of education expenses and maintain an overall GPA of 3.2. The scholarship may be renewed if the recipient reapplies and criteria are met.

First preference is given to College of Business first-year undergraduate students. Second preference is given to College of Business newly admitted graduate students. Applicants must be Fort Collins area residents. Secondary preference is given to graduate students. Third preference is given to Fort Collins sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Applicants must be College of Business undergraduate sophomores, juniors, or seniors. They must demonstrate involvement in community activities, including but not limited to mentorship in the community, volunteer work, or involvement in a church or place of worship. They must demonstrate financial need. Preference shall be given to students who are employed outside the classroom. They must maintain an overall GPA of 3.5. Review of candidates and recommendations for recipients may be provided by representatives of the Group Inc. and the Nesbitt family. Final selection will be made by the College of Business scholarship committee.

Applicants must be Larimer County high school graduates or Windsor High School graduates. They must be College of Business first-year students with a 3.5 GPA or above upon application. They must have demonstrated aptitude and ability to succeed in the business environment, and presented their goals leading to a career in business on the application and an aptitude to succeed in business. The scholarship may be renewed if criteria are met and the recipient reapplies. Employees and family members of Group employees are not eligible.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate sophomores or juniors concentrating in marketing. They must demonstrate an interest in personal selling or sales management by writing a brief essay on the following: "Personal selling is an essential element for any firms. What does it take to be a success in the world of sales?" They must maintain an overall 3.4 GPA. This scholarship requires additional steps beyond the CSUSA application.

Applicants must be full-time College of Business undergraduate students. They must be U.S. citizens. The award is based primarily on merit and not on financial need. The donor may specify eligibility requirements each year.

Valdez First Generation Scholarship

Applicants must be College of Business first-year students who have applied and been accepted to the College of Business. They must be first-generation students from Colorado, specifically El Paso or Pueblo counties, and demonstrate financial need. They must be a graduate of a Colorado high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 at CSU for renewal. They must demonstrate strong desire to complete an undergraduate degree in the College of Business and there should be evidence of how their goals will lead to a career in business. They must demonstrate a history of volunteerism and involvement in sports. The scholarship committee shall present the finalist to the dean, who shall make the final selection after discussion with the donor. The scholarship may be renewed if criteria are met.
