Bio

Tom Livingston founded Livingston Real Estate and Development (a full-service real estate company) in 2005. Professional services include: commercial brokerage for leasing, acquisition and sales, project management for entitlement, land development and vertical construction projects. With 35 professional years in Northern Colorado including 20 years as a partner and managing broker with the Everitt Companies, Tom has gained vast experience by working on a broad range of projects from the ground up. 

Livingston served in a leadership role in the development of more than 30 major commercial projects in Northern Colorado including The Centre for Advanced Technology, Loveland/Fort Collins Industrial Airpark, Natural Resource Research Center, and most recently The Lofts at Timberline. He has also provided project management and brokerage services to a wide variety of organizations including Martin Marietta, Larimer County and Guaranty/Independent Bank. 

Livingston believes his “team approach philosophy” adds great value to his project management. Tom says “we build a team focused on solving problems and creating the best design/construction solutions for the owner. We strive to complete projects of the highest quality that the owner, project team and the community can be proud of.” 

Tom graduated from Colorado State University in 1981 with a degree in Construction Management. He still finds himself back at the University periodically as a guest lecturer. “Construction Management at CSU in one of the top programs in the country,” Tom explains. “It was a big part of my education and I think it’s important to bring your experiences back to the classroom.” Livingston Real Estate and Development has endowed a scholarship in the College of Business at CSU. 

As a Fort Collins native, Tom believes community service is a priority. Early in his career, he participated in the “Leadership Fort Collins” program sponsored by the area Chamber of Commerce. Tom has been active in coaching and boy scouts and was awarded Boy Scout Master of the year in 2004 by the Longs Peak Council.   He has served on the board of directors for the Fort Collins area United Way, CHAMP, and the Fort Collins Council for Arts and Humanities. Tom has held many leadership roles at Colorado State University which include serving as a Founding Director of the Everitt Real Estate Center.
