It's never too early to start thinking about business. These programs are designed for young entrepreneurs
The College of Business and the Institute for Entrepreneurship believe that business can create a better world. As part of that mission, we teach students of all ages about how they can make a difference in their communities and leave a positive impact on the world. These programs were developed specifically for high school students, and teach core business concepts, connect students with local and global thought leaders and offer them the chance to get hands-on experience in the field of business.
Innovators, Creators, and Music Industry
Innovators, Creators and the Music Industry is a week-long program that shows students how they can use business to make money doing what they love. This virtual summer camp promotes an entrepreneurial mindset and uses the music business as a way to explore the new channels, platforms and innovations being used to change the industry. By collaborating in groups and meeting with music business insiders, students will explore how they can be a part of the creator economy.
Venture Validator Summer Camp
The Summer Camp is a week-long Venture Validator program that lets high school students explore what it takes to become an entrepreneur. Throughout this program, students explore a real-world issue they’ve identified and develop a business idea to address it.
This program connects students with business professionals, mentors and subject matter experts. Together, they’ll conduct market research, develop a business model, examine their competition and finally pitch their business idea to create a successful venture.
Venture Rams High
The Rams Venture High Program uses a multi-disciplinary approach to encourage high school students to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset. This program connects students with lessons in design thinking, business model development and innovation while helping them engage with the local business community and solve real-world problems.
Program participants work alongside Venture Rams High mentors to develop their business ideas and solutions. The program also offers free professional development opportunities for teachers, professional mentors to help with class projects and invitations to future Institute for Entrepreneurship events.
This program is for those that have gone through the Venture Validator. The Venture Jumpstart is a six-week workshop series where entrepreneurs come together twice per week from across CSU and the broader community to learn about – and take – the concrete steps needed to begin their business operations.
The workshops are focused on providing the tools entrepreneurs need to succeed, whether that’s pre-built financial templates, industry connections, or an encouraging community here to help you navigate the complexities of launching a new business.
