Matt Moberly got his start in the beer business in Ann Arbor, MI at a local indie grocer when he applied for a job and the manager asked, “hey, I think our beer buyer is leaving soon, know anything about beer?” And he has been a beer guy ever since. After learning about the three tier system at the grocer, Matt transitioned to the beer buying team at Whole Foods before beginning his journey with Bell’s Brewery in January of 2004.
Now the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Bell’s, Matt has truly grown with Bell’s. His first Bell’s job was as a territory rep in Southeast Michigan, followed by Lead Brewery Rep. Then, as a data-driven analytical chemist by training, Matt set out to combine his sales experience with his love of data by creating and building the Key Accounts team and then the Business Insights and Forecasting Department of Bell’s. Matt holds a master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from Washington State University and completed the Executive MBA program at Michigan State University.
