How Tamria Zertuche Leveraged the Online MBA to Become CEO of a Fortune 1000 Company
Two decades into her career, Tamria Zertuche was the senior director of IT at propane logistics company Ferrellgas but wanted more responsibility and the chance to make a greater impact. She had always been ambitious and driven, but she realized something was holding her back.
"I was at a point in my career where I was stuck at a director level," Zertuche said. "I had great ideas, but I didn't know how to package them and make them consumable for implementation."
The College of Business' Online MBA changed that, turning her into a rising star. The year she graduated from the program in 2016, Zertuche was named vice president of IT at Ferrellgas. She then rose through the ranks in quick succession, becoming the company’s CEO in 2023.
