Alum builds a career in government, lending to rural American farmers

Zachary Lund believes that food security is national security. Having spent his career in the United States' Farm Credit System, the College of Business alum has seen firsthand the importance of supporting the rural Americans who produce the food found on grocery store shelves.

“When times are tough, American AgCredit and the Farm Credit System as a whole have a mission to continue working with and lending to agricultural producers so we all have food to eat and fiber to wear,” said Lund, who graduated from the College in 2013 with a concentration in finance. “Having access to reliable credit even in tough times in agriculture is really important for our country.”
