Register to compete in this annual case competition!

The Leonard W. Wood Center for Real Estate Studies at University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler, in partnership with the ICSC Foundation, co-hosts this invitation-only Retail Real Estate Case Competition during ICSC Las Vegas. Sixteen teams of up to four undergraduate students from programs across the U.S. and Canada receive a case, work for five days to develop their solution, then present to an esteemed panel of judges for a chance to win $20,000 in prize money. This case competition and trip are all-expenses paid.

 

CSU Team Selection

  • Team: 4 undergraduate students will be selected to represent CSU in Las Vegas (May 2026).
  • Preparation: Team will meet throughout the spring semester with an assigned industry advisor.
  • Deadline to Apply: January 30, 2026.

 

What to Expect

  • Teams receive the case approximately one week before the event
  • Deliverables include:
    • A 20-minute PowerPoint presentation delivered in person at The Wynn Last Vegas to a panel of four judges.
    • Four teams will make finals and present to a large ballroom of students and industry professionals for the final presentation
