Join the Everitt Real Estate Center in Nashville for the University Valuation Case Challenge, hosted by the Appraisal Institute. This competition will bring together 16 undergraduate student teams from across the U.S. to compete in a real-world development case judged by a panel of senior industry professionals from leading commercial real estate firms.
Participation Benefits
- A chance to win cash prizes totaling $10,000
- Networking receptions with sponsors and professionals on April 13 and April 14
- Complimentary 6-month access to the Rockport VAL cloud-based commercial real estate modeling and analysis platform to build the case study
- Eligibility to complete the Rockport VAL certification, a professional credential validating expertise in using the software
Who Should Apply
Finance and real estate majors and real estate minors are encouraged to participate. This challenge will be open to undergraduate students in their second, third year, and fourth year.
CSU Team Selection
Four undergraduate students will be selected to represent CSU along with an Everitt Real Estate Center advisor.

- Case released to teams: February 11
- Slide deck submission deadline: February 18
- Top 16 teams notified to attend competition: March 3
- Welcome Reception: April 13
