Join the Everitt Real Estate Center for this annual case competition!

The CSU Everitt Real Estate Center has partnered with the University of Colorado-Boulder and the University of Denver for over a decade to co-host the annual Sherman Miller Case Competition. This case study is centered on a specific retail commercial development site. Finance and real estate majors as well as real estate minors and construction management students are strongly encouraged to apply. The team will consist of 4-6 undergraduate students.


Competition Timeline

Friday, April 4

Schools designate judges, team members and captains, and send to host school coordinator (patti.chapman@colostate.edu)

Monday, April 7 (2 p.m. MST)

Case delivered to advisors for review/comment

Wednesday, April 9 (5 p.m. MST)

Comments/questions due from advisors

Friday, April 11 (6 a.m. MST)

Case released via email to team captains and advisors (all advising, coaching, etc. ends)

Wednesday, April 16 (2 p.m. MST)

PowerPoint, Excel workbooks and executive summary electronic files delivered to host school event coordinator no later than 2PM MST (for distribution to judges before end of day)

Friday, April 18

In-person competition hosted by Colorado State University with presentations and awards (see schedule below)
