Equip yourself to make more informed decisions and navigate your business to a healthier financial future

Online Executive Education: Navigating COVID-19

This free program is part of the “Rethink, Reinvent and Recover: Preparing for the Challenges of an Uncertain Future” series. These three-hour courses are designed by CSU's College of Business to support our community in this time of uncertainty by helping professionals navigate a business landscape fundamentally changed by COVID-19.

Course Overview

The COVID-19 crisis has spurred radical shifts in demand and created new constraints on how products and services are marketed, sold, consumed and supported. In response, many business leaders have defaulted to a reactive approach as they’ve tried everything to preserve cash flow and survive financially.

Shifting to a proactive mindset and understanding financial drivers will enable leaders to get beyond simply cutting costs or reactively adjusting their business model and hoping it helps.

In this course, you will learn the financial levers that can be manipulated to impact cash flow and financial health during times of crisis, and you will be better equipped to make more informed decisions and proactively navigate to a healthier financial future for your business.

Course Objectives

  1. Review the implications of a reactive vs. proactive financial mindset
  2. Understand the drivers of cash flow and financial health
  3. Understand tools, habits and options available to support your efforts
  4. Position yourself for a refocused financial foundation post-pandemic

Giving Back

As a service to our community during this challenging time, the College is offering these courses for free. For participants who are able, the College is requesting donations to Rams Against Hunger, which supports Biz Rams and other CSU students experiencing food insecurity. A donation of $32.50 provides nutritious meals from a CSU dining center to a student for one week; $130 feeds a student for a month. Rethink, Reinvent and Recover

This short-course series is designed to equip professionals to confidently, creatively and compassionately lead their teams through the extraordinary impacts associated with COVID-19. The series addresses five major areas of concern professionals are facing now: taking care of themselves and their own fears, positively leading their workforce, acknowledging and dealing with grief and stress, changing their business model for increased sustainability and handling their financial health.

"Everyone is welcome to join in this thought-provoking series,” said Sue Schell, director of senior leadership and organizational development programs in the College of Business. “You’ll challenge your fears, habits and mindsets and emerge with ideas for recovery."

All courses are being offered free of charge as a service to our community, but the College requests that participants who are able make a donation to Rams Against Hunger, which supports Biz Rams and other CSU students experiencing food insecurity. To learn more about the fund and to donate, please visit the Rams Against Hunger page.
