Grow your practice and learn more about strategic decision making, service marketing, financial management, staff training, and more.

The Veterinary Management Institute® (VMI), designed specifically for veterinary professionals, is a collaboration between the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and the Center for Professional Development and Business Research in the College of Business at Colorado State University.

Founded in 1990, the Veterinary Management Institute is an executive-level, comprehensive program that offers up to 83 hours of continuing education to professionals in veterinary professions and fields. The program spans from January to November, and consists of three in-person sessions, as well as monthly virtual classes, workgroups and discussions.

Program content is designed to help veterinarian professionals grow their practice, and includes strategic decision making, service marketing, financial management, staff training, supervision and conflict management, strategic entrepreneurship, and more. Facilitators have been hand-selected from industry and from business faculty at CSU.

The Veterinary Management Institute is held at CSU's College of Business, and with the latest technology, the university's long-standing history in veterinary medicine, and the Rocky Mountain foothills through the window panes, the VMI is an optimal learning environment.
