Real estate is what we love. Building connections between our real estate classrooms and our community is what we do.

The Everitt Real Estate Center is dedicated to bringing the College of Business real estate programs together with the Northern Colorado real estate industry, ultimately benefiting students, faculty, professionals, our community, the state of Colorado, and beyond.

We coordinate opportunities for students and faculty to meet, learn from, and even work with local real estate professionals. In exchange, real estate professionals turn to us for new business solutions from our knowledgeable faculty, as well as new ideas and talent from our emerging professionals.

We sponsor numerous conferences and events that provide students and professionals valuable industry insight and a way to connect and share information. We also produce research that explores current industry trends.

A part of the College of Business Department of Finance and Real Estate, the Everitt Real Estate Center is a nonprofit membership organization guided by an advisory board. The center got its start in 2000 with a grant from the Mortgage Bankers Association. In 2004 alumni and local real estate developers Eric Holsapple and Don Marostica donated $1.5 million to establish an endowed chair in the college's real estate program, which promoted the center's mission to bridge the gap between academics and industry. The center became even stronger – and got its name – when Bob and Joyce Everitt pledged $2.4 million in 2005 to support its efforts.

Today, we remain thankful for the generosity and vision of those who built the Everitt Real Estate Center, and for those who still support us – by donating, becoming members, attending our events, or volunteering their time and expertise.

What We Offer

Industry Events

Real estate professionals and students can learn from and network during the events we host and sponsor each year. Our conferences, led by real estate experts, address emerging real estate trends and issues, such as smart growth, sustainability, regional residential and commercial prices, and developing markets. Each year, we host the Northern Colorado Real Estate Conference, the Residential and Commercial Real Estate Forecast, and the Finance and Real Estate Summit. We also host and sponsor many leadership training and networking opportunities, such as our annual golf tournament.

Student Involvement

All real estate students have opportunities to get involved with the center at no cost. We provide them with hands-on learning opportunities based on real-world challenges that enhance their classroom instruction. We facilitate networking opportunities with real estate professionals, help place students into relevant internships, and sponsor regional and global student competitions such as the International Council of Shopping Centers Real Estate Challenge, the Argus Software University Challenge, and the National Association of Home Builders Residential Construction Management Challenge.

Membership/
Real Estate Council

We are fueled by our members and the CSU Real Estate Council. Members have opportunities to teach students by guest lecturing, hosting tours of their latest projects, or submitting theirs project as case studies. Members also may support students by offering internship opportunities or contributing to scholarships. In return, members receive connections to a deep pool of bright talent, opportunities for professional development and networking, and access to academic resources and research, including our annual forecast, a collaboration with CSU, CoStar Group, Metrostudy, and industry panel members that previews the year ahead in commercial and residential real estate. Members who contribute at a designated level become CSU Real Estate Council members who receive expanded benefits, involvement with the advisory board, and opportunities to join the board.
