“OneScope is the first construction estimating software tailored toward residential contractors that has any information or tools to calculate overhead and profit. Overhead, amongst small contractors, is a commonly talked about issue. The tool walks the user through the budgeting process during onboarding, and then applies overhead recovery and profit. Conventional estimating tools (I.E. Joist or QuickBooks) use a simple input of "Rate" and "Quantity" to calculate a total. OneScope requires input of "Unit Cost" to the contractor, and then adds overhead recovery, labor burden, and warranty factor as set up in the budget. The analysis page then shows revenue, COGS, gross profit, overhead, and net profit. There are many other analytical features that go in tandem with the main solution.”

We are currently focused on developing our internet connected breathalyzer that will allow our device to connect directly to outpatient facilities for monitoring. We are also looking to multiple other business models that will allow us to scale our technology to other neighboring markets. Currently our company is in pre-seed product development. We have been able to begin product development from funding supplied through a CSU venture funded senior design project. We currently have an MVP and are working on completing the first production prototype by late April.”

We started this company in the basement of my home and last fall we had the opportunity to move to a great office space. Since August we have been able to launch 6 capsule collections and improve our website and online presence. The company started with an initial investment of $3,000 and we have been able to operate for 5 years without the need to invest more money. We have kept the ideal inventory for Fort Collins, but we are ready to scale up and serve a wider audience.”

“When I first adopted my dog, Queso, he had already been rehomed or sent back to the shelter about five times. The sheriff gave me him for free as he was a chronic couch chewer and had been scheduled to be put down. I started volunteering for the shelter in the fourth grade, so I was able to recognize his destructive behavior was a symptom of being chronically under-stimulated. That didn’t mean providing him enrichment was easy though. I tried every product on the market, he destroyed them all in seconds. This was constantly creating choking hazards. I not only love my dog but fear expensive vet bills, so I created a solution. It is a lick mat with a mounting system for crates. Currently working on further customer discovery. I have completed over 100 interviews, but I am still reaching out to potential customers and wholesale buyers. I am also reaching out to shelters to start customer discovery with the dogs themselves. I am also starting the patent process and refining the design.”

The company will help reduce the cost burden of female employees and employers’ administrative costs of finding suitable accommodation for their employees or finding new talent due to turnover resulting from a lack of affordable housing.”

This can be especially hard for owners who have little marketing experience or are more hands off when it comes to their communications strategy.
