BUS 650 Supply Chain Management (2 credits)

This course introduces students to the management of supply chains that plan, source, produce, and deliver goods and services from suppliers to customers. Students learn how organizations integrate demand forecasting, logistics, production, sourcing, and procurement processes to create customer value and competitive advantage while incorporating risk management, sustainability, and ethical business practices into global supply chain decision-making.

MGT 675 Purchasing and Supply Management (1 credit)

This course focuses contemporary philosophies, methods, and analytical techniques used in strategic purchasing and negotiation. Students explore sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, cost and price analysis, ethical decision-making, and negotiation frameworks while applying these concepts to real-world business situations to support organizational competitiveness and effective decision-making.

MGT 676 Service and Production Operations (1 credit)

This course examines core operations management concepts and their role within the broader supply chain. Students learn how organizations design, manage, and improve manufacturing and service operations to create customer value, enhance financial performance, and achieve competitive advantage. The course also emphasizes operations strategy, process improvement, forecasting, lean systems, and data-driven decision-making in complex business environments.

MGT 677 Logistics and Distribution (1 credit)

This course explores current philosophies, methods, and techniques used in strategic logistics and supply chain operations. Students analyze modern logistics systems, global supply chains, resilience strategies, and emerging technologies while developing strategic, data-informed solutions to complex operational challenges through critical thinking and professional communication.

BUS 627 Essentials of Negotiations (2 credits)

This course provides students with practical insights into negotiation styles, strategies, and behaviors to help them become more effective negotiators. Students examine research-based approaches to negotiation, analyze their own strengths and biases, and learn the differences between distributive bargaining and integrative negotiation techniques. The course also explores ethical considerations, cultural perceptions, and strategies for recognizing and responding to difficult or manipulative negotiation tactics.

GES 520 Issues in Global Environmental Sustainability (3 credits)

This course introduces the concept of sustainability and examines its environmental, social, and economic dimensions and influence across industries and disciplines. Students develop a holistic understanding of sustainability through research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and exploration of how sustainable practices connect to and impact their chosen field.
