About

Chris received her PhD in industrial/organizational psychology from Colorado State University. Her main research focus is counterproductive work behaviors including abusive supervision, ostracism, resume fraud, and cyberloafing. Chris also conducts research on employment discrimination against job applicants who are caregivers for young children or older family members, have body art, or are former offenders. Her research has been published in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Journal of Business Ethics. She currently teaches human resource management courses and has been nominated for the CSU Alumni Best Teacher Award.

Chris has her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM-CP certification and is an advisor of the CSU student SHRM chapter. She has also worked as a recruiter and job analyst and does HR consulting for small businesses. Chris serves as a reviewer for a variety of journals and has held various committee positions with the Academy of Management, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and Southern Management Association. In her spare time, she enjoys running, skiing, hiking, playing volleyball, and reading.
