Bio

Sandy Rothe is a financial expert and senior partner at Deloitte. Having enjoyed a diverse 40-year career with the firm, Rothe will retire in June 2018. Most recently, he was the managing partner for Deloitte’s Colorado practice where he was responsible for implementing the firm’s strategies in the Colorado mar­ketplace, including delivering services in the auditing, tax, enterprise risk, financial advisory and consulting areas. Deloitte has over 1,000 employees in Colorado. He has been a financial statement auditor across multiple industries and served in numerous leadership roles, including regional financial services leader responsible for market penetration, performance, and client satisfaction; lead client services partner, advising large-cap and private companies on key critical business issues; regional leader, for the startup of the Technology, Media, & Telecom practice (TMT).

Rothe is a national facilitator for Deloitte’s cutting-edge executive transition labs, focused on the successful onboarding and integration of incoming C-Suite executives. Additionally, he has years of boardroom experience, reporting and advising on audit committee matters, special investigations, risk, regulatory, M&A transactions, and serving as an advisor to the CEO and chair. He led the Denver practice during its significant growth and has worked with global F500 companies on enterprise strategies helping to expand their products, global footprint, and improved operations.

He was appointed by the Colorado governor to his Health Information Technology Advisory Committee and served as moderator of the Texas governor’s Broadband Deployment Task Force that studied state policy and regulatory practices impacting broadband deployment. He has been a frequent writer and speaker on diverse topics ranging from accounting for financial instruments to corporate governance, strategy, and ethics.

Rothe is on the Board of Junior Achievement – Rocky Mountain Inc. (past chairman and treasurer); he serves on the board of trustees of the Denver Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America (vice president fiscal affairs, audit committee); and the board of trustees of the Denver Botanic Gardens (audit committee chair). In 2017, he received the Gold Award from Junior Achievement, its highest national award for volunteers.
