Bill O’Brien serves as president and general manager of the West Operating Unit of Coca-Cola Refreshments (CCR). In this role, O'Brien manages all aspects of CCR’s California and Nevada markets, a $2 billion business.
Prior to his current position, O’Brien served in varying roles with increasing responsibility within Coca-Cola. These include viceresident and general manager of CCR’s West Region; senior vice president and general manager of On-Premise Operations for Coca-Cola North America (CCNA); senior vice president of Commercial Leadership for the Still Beverage Business Unit and other commercial operations and general management roles.
O’Brien completed his undergraduate studies in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and completed his graduate work in 1993 with an MBA from Georgia State University.
O’Brien is actively involved with his family and his community. He is a proud coach for his children’s sports teams and currently serves on the board of directors of the Special Olympic World Games Los Angeles, U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials, Los Angeles Sports Council. He is also a member of Colorado State University’s College of Business Global Leadership Council. Bill is an avid cyclist, enjoying both riding with his family, as well as competitively in races.
O’Brien and his wife, Ellen, son Aidan and daughter Brooke reside in Newport Beach, California.
