Bio

Wendy McCray-Benoit is the PwC assurance partner in the Denver office. As the assurance partner, she is responsible for ensuring that PwC is delivering high-quality service to its clients and for maintaining its brand in the market. A leader in the real estate market, McCrary-Benoit is a frequent instructor on real estate hot topics at both internal and external events.

McCrary-Benoit is PwC’s real estate industry specialist serving a variety of clients. She has more than 20 years of experience serving public and private companies including real estate funds, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and owners/operators of real estate. McCrary-Benoit brings significant experience in capital raises, debt financings, restructurings, and transactions involving real estate. She has led IPOs of newly formed REIT clients and serves clients with multiple property types including industrial, residential, multifamily, hotel, office, and manufactured housing.  
She has spent 18 of her 24 years with PwC serving Colorado-based companies. In addition, she previously led PwC’s real estate practice in San Francisco for five years.  

McCrary-Benoit’s commitment to the future leaders of the firm include her being the firm’s relationship partner for Colorado State University. She involves herself extensively in PwC’s recruiting efforts at the University. She also serves on the Department of Accounting advisory board for CSU. She is committed to advancing women in the workplace and dedicates a significant amount of time sponsoring events hosted by the PwC Women’s Networking Circle.

McCrary-Benoit has a bachelor’s degree from CSU. She is a licensed CPA in Colorado and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Colorado Society of CPAs. She lives in Morrison, Colorado, with her husband, Andy, and her two daughters, Kayla and Emilee.
