Bio

Laura Blackmer is the senior vice president of the dealer division at Konica Minolta Business Solutions, U.S.A, Inc.  Blackmer joined Konica Minolta in 2017 and is responsible for the sales and management of Konica Minolta’s extensive dealer network that represents and sells KM’s award-winning products including multi-function copiers, industrial production printers, and managed IT Services. Prior to Konica Minolta, Blackmer held a similar position at Sharp Corporation for nearly five years.

Blackmer grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, and entered Colorado State University as a pre-veterinary student, enjoying the mountains and challenging curriculum. After a brief hiatus, she found her true passion in sales and returned to the CSU College of Business to pursue a business degree. Graduating in December 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Blackmer joined NCR Corporation through its campus-recruiting effort. This position returned her to the East Coast, and she began her sales career in New York City. Joining Hewlett Packard Company in 1988, she found her calling in working with HP’s channel partners to sell the now legendary HP LaserJet. Her 19-year career with HP included management and executive positions across many of HP’s products including pcs, servers and printers. After a brief experience at a NYC-based services start up, OnForce, Blackmer spent time with her growing family, raising her four daughters with her husband, Rich, in New Jersey.

Blackmer rejoined the workforce in 2013 by accepting a position with Everett, Washington-based Intermec Corporation, as U.S. director of channel sales. Her three years with Intermec were focused on redefining Intermec’s channel strategy, programs and engagement. In 2013, she joined Sharp and continued her focus on people leadership and change management for channel-focused organizations.

Blackmer resides in northern New Jersey with her husband and enjoys her twice-annual visits to Colorado for hiking and skiing. The entire family of four girls, Lauren, Erica, Lily, and Ella, enjoy traveling, family traditions, and their two dogs, Dani and Mickey.
