Wynne Odell is the co-founder and CEO of Odell Brewing Company, the 28th largest independent craft brewery in the U.S. Odell, along with her husband, Doug, and sister-in-law, Corkie, founded the brewery Fort Collins, Colorado, in 1989 and will open a second tap room/brewery location in Denver in May 2018. Odell distributes in 15 states and is known for its award winning, hop-forward beers.
Under Odell’s leadership, Odell Brewing has committed to remaining an independent, employee-owned company dedicated to the evergreen principles of profit, paced growth, perseverance, pragmatism, purpose and people first. Odell Brewing was the 2015 medium-size company winner of the Colorado Society of Human Resources Best Companies to Work for in Colorado.
Wynne and Doug Odell were recipients of Colorado State University’s 2016 Charles A. Lory Public Service Award for exceptional and sustained leadership in their community. Odell Brewing is a founding member of the Colorado State University Beverage Business Institute and is a contributor to the fermentation science and technology degree program.
Odell serves on the boards of both state and national craft beer trade organizations, the Colorado Brewers’ Guild and the Brewers’ Association, and is a member of the President’s Council of the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado and the Colorado State University College of Business Global Leadership Council. Odell received a bachelor’s degree from Whitman College and an MBA from the University of Washington with a concentration in finance.
The Odells live in Fort Collins and they have two children: Corey, who works as the sustainability coordinator at Odell Brewing, and Riley, who is a 2015 graduate of CSU. Odell is an avid road cyclist and world traveler.
