Bob Isaman is an operating partner of Kohlberg & Company, LLC, a leading middle market private equity company. Previously, he held the position of chief executive officer of Centennial, Colorado-based Stolle Machinery Co., LLC, a global market leader in the provision of high technology capital equipment services to the beverage, food, and consumer container industries.
In 1985 Isaman joined the Otis Elevator Company. In 1993 he moved to St. Petersburg, Russia, as deputy general manager at Norden-St. Petersburg.
In 1995 Isaman re-joined Otis and held positions as director, in¬ternational business development; vice president and regional gen¬eral manager; and worldwide vice president, environment, health and safety in Otis’ World Headquarters. In 2001 he assumed the role of vice president, marketing and field opera¬tions in Otis’ Asia Pacific Area, and in 2002 was named president of Otis Elevator Investment Company in Beijing, China. In 2004 Isaman was among the recipients of the People’s Republic of China’s Friendship Award, presented by the Premier of China.
In 2005 Isaman was named vice president, integration at UTC Fire & Security, and later was promoted to lead the Fire Safety Americas division as its president. In 2007 Isaman left UTC to become a company officer and division president at Terex Corporation. At Terex he had global P&L responsibility for the $2.7B Roadbuilding and Construction divisions.
Isaman has a Bachelor of Science in marketing from the University of Maryland, and an M.B.A. in International Business from The George Washington University. He serves as a member of the board of AGY Corporation and the Aurora Casket Company Inc., and on the board of advisors for the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He is a Decade Member of the Special Forces Association. He and his wife, Linda, reside in Denver.
