Bob Hottman is a partner in Plante Moran and leader of the Family Office practice for the firm’s Rocky Mountain region. Prior to combining with Plante Moran, Hottman served as CEO of EKS&H for 22 years. During his tenure he helped EKS&H grow from 50 people to more than 750. Plante Moran is currently the 11th largest firm in the United States with more than 3,100 staff in 27 offices.
Throughout his career, Hottman has enjoyed helping clients and staff grow and seeing their dreams become reality. While he has served a variety of industries, the focus was always the people and families who owned and ran the businesses. Given his passion to serve others, he is often asked to speak on values, culture, and servant leadership and truly enjoys sharing how individuals, families, and organizations can shape their culture to the things that matter most to them.
Hottman feels very fortunate to have served or currently serve on the boards of great organizations like Children’s Hospital Colorado, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement, Global Leadership Council for Colorado State University College of Business, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Laradon, Colorado Succeeds, and the Colorado Workforce Development Council’s Business Experiential Learning Commission. He is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. His professional affiliations include membership in the AICPA and the Colorado Society of CPAs.
Hottman has been recognized by Colorado State University College of Business as a “Distinguished Alumni” and by the Colorado State University Accounting Department as a Hall of Fame inductee.
