This [systemic racism] we all must take responsibility for in creating change. Rams take care of Rams, and today more than ever we must stand on that promise.

Addressing systemic racism … cannot be achieved with a single public condemnation. It cannot be learned in a book or accomplished with a single event. It is an ongoing, ceaseless process that continues to unfold minute by minute. We must continuously educate ourselves on how to be antiracist. We must create spaces for listening. We must acknowledge our own privileges and inherent racist values. We must prepare for uncomfortable conversations with others. Diversity, equity and inclusion are at the forefront of our values, and we must demonstrate that in each of our daily actions.

Clubs and Organizations Promoting Diversity and Inclusion

The College of Business empowers students to shape their own academic experiences, and that extends to our approach to diversity and inclusion. Student-run organizations and clubs such as the Latinx Business Association, the Women in Business Association and the Business Diversity Leadership Alliance encourage students to be leaders in creating inclusive and welcoming communities.

Women in Business Association (WIBA)

The Women in Business Association offers students the opportunity to engage with gender-related topics and understand the vital role women play in business today. Students take part in presentations, philanthropic events, hands-on projects and trips, all while learning from and connecting with a network of prominent local women.

Latinx Business Association

Established in the fall of 2018, the Latinx Business Association is focused on creating community and providing support and resources for Latinx students. The LBA offers academic support, professional development and community outreach opportunities to the more than 10 percent of Biz Rams who identify as Latinx.

Business Diversity and Leadership Alliance (BDLA)

The Business Diversity Leadership Alliance strives to educate and enlighten future industry leaders and impact social change within the world of business. As a service-based organization, the BDLA encourages members to take part in volunteer and community service activities that support both the University and the Fort Collins community. Students also take part in social justice and inclusion workshops and find ways to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in business.

Global Business Network

Business is an international affair, and the Global Business Network offers an inclusive network that encourages differing global perspectives. Members of the GBN are encouraged to share their unique perspectives and knowledge about international business as they connect with one another. Through a variety of activities, regular meetings and guest presentations, students network with globally minded community members.

Dean's Student Leadership Council (DSLC)

Serving as the liaison between College of Business students and the dean, the Dean's Student Leadership Council communicates the issues that are most meaningful to students. Students in the DSLC engage with local business professionals, network with donors and collaborate with alumni on a variety of events and projects, including Business Day.

First Generation Business Association

One in five Biz Rams identifies as a first-generation student, and the First Generation Business Association is dedicated to their success. Monthly workshops help build community, develop connections, sharpen academic skills and open doorways to future employment opportunities. Each year, first-gen students are invited to the Building Bridges Dinner, which brings first-gen students, faculty and staff together to celebrate their experiences.

Student Diversity Programs and Services

Across the University, you'll find student-led groups, programs and services that promote diversity and inclusion efforts. Although some groups may emphasize a specific segment of the student body, these services and programs are available to every student at CSU.
