About

Tiffany’s research focuses on understanding us vs. them categorizations based on demographic and non-demographic categories. She studies these dynamics in high-level roles (boards of directors, CEOs) and traditionally male-dominated fields (legal profession). Her work also examines the effectiveness of workplace polices (e.g., diversity initiative effectiveness) and technologies (e.g., AI).

Her work on these topics has been published in several peer-reviewed management journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Management, Human Resource Management, and Journal of Business Ethics.

She earned her PhD in Management and Human Resources from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She also holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management and Human Resources as well as Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is an Associate Editor at Journal of Management Studies and is on the editorial review board for Academy of Management Review and Human Resource Management.

She teaches courses on employment law and human resource management. She has worked in management and human resource roles and also has worked abroad in South Korea. She enjoys swimming, hiking, and skiing with her family.
