Ken arrived at CSU (as an assistant professor) in 1998. Prior to becoming an associate dean, he was the chair of the Department of Marketing for six years. Ken has taught a variety of marketing courses including pricing, consumer behavior, marketing strateggy, and marketing for sustainable enterprises. Ken’s primary research interests are in the behavioral pricing, social influence, and public policy areas. His behavioral pricing research has examined how consumers process price information (e.g., various presentation formats) at the point of purchase. In the social influence area, he has examined a variety of issues including consumer innovativeness, peer pressure, and socially desirable responding. From a public policy perspective, he has addressed topics related to nutrition, cigarette use, unit pricing, antitrust regulations, and regulatory control. Ken’s research has been published in the top journals in his field including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, and Journal of Public Policy & Marketing.

As Senior Associate Dean in the College of Business, Ken collaborates with college leadership and faculty to advance our strategic vision, operational excellence, and academic distinction. His efforts focus on leading strategic planning initiatives, including our Business for a Better World strategies, and securing successful AACSB re-accreditations. Ken has spearheaded data-driven systems to optimize faculty resource allocation, enhance research culture, and improve workload equity, contributing to record research productivity and expanded teaching capacity. Additionally, he oversees academic governance, support our academic leadership team and department chairs, and leads continuous updates to college policies, codes, and faculty evaluation processes.
