Eric Rapley joined the Colorado State University faculty in 2016 and teaches undergraduate auditing and accounting professional skills. Previously, he taught introductory financial accounting and intermediate accounting. Eric is a CPA and has both public and private accounting experience.
Eric attended Kansas State University for his undergraduate studies. That was followed by twelve years of corporate experience, including Big 4 external auditing and serving as a corporate controller of a nonpublic company. For graduate school, Eric attended Oklahoma State University and earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in accounting.
Professor Rapley's current research interests focus primarily on financial statement auditing. His research has been published in academic journals such as Accounting Horizons, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of Accounting, Auditing & Finance, Journal of Accounting Literature, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Information Systems, and the Journal of the American Taxation Association.
