Wendy Usrey is a faculty member in the Department of Finance and Real Estate at Colorado State University.  She began her career in the College of Business as a Real Estate Analyst for the Everitt Real Estate Center conducting research, collaborating with industry professionals on a variety of projects and designing statistical models used to forecast real estate prices.  Usrey has since transitioned to a faculty position with the Finance and Real Estate Department teaching multiple courses across both disciplines, some of which include Fundamentals of Finance, Financial Markets and Institutions, Principles of Real Estate, a capstone real estate course for business minors and Real Estate Finance at the graduate level.

Wendy has actively worked in real estate for over 16 years and is a licensed real estate broker in both Colorado and Missouri.  She holds bachelor of science degrees in both Marketing Management and Economics from Missouri State University and a master of arts degree in Economics from Colorado State University.  Usrey has completed the majority of required coursework towards a PhD in Economics and is currently working towards a PhD in Personal Financial Planning.

Wendy approaches teaching with a philosophy that real education happens when students can apply course material to their own life and strives to help make those connections and engage students with real world stories, examples and case studies.
