Susan Schell is the Director of Senior Leadership and Organizational Development Programs of the College of Business at Colorado State University. After a long career in business, she is now positioned to help the business world with training and development programs that improve company performance, assist with retention of employees and maintain a pool of trained personnel.   Ms. Schell has also been a member of the faculty of the College of Business and taught graduate courses in leadership, human resources, global management, personal development, communication and negotiation. She most recently left a position as the president of Citadel Advisory Group, a boutique investment bank in Fort Collins, Colorado. For eighteen years, Susan served as executive vice-president of global human resources and quality for Advanced Energy Industries, Inc.; a high technology company with locations in the U.S., Europe and the Pacific Rim. Traveling extensively and working with the company through its great expansion and several public offerings, she was involved in the successful growth of AE from $2MM to $400MM. She has served as a consultant and mediator to corporations, non-profits, government agencies, and school districts. She has been on the advisory boards of three colleges and has also served on numerous business advisory boards over the course of the last three decades. She is a past president of the Colorado Women’s Forum and an active member of the International Women’s Forum where she served as a board member of the leadership foundation. Their mission is to advance women through the 'glass ceiling' through education and mentoring. She has also been a member of the national Women President’s Organization. Her professional designations included a real estate broker’s license, and Series 7, 66, and 79 Securities Licenses. She holds an MBA from the University of Denver. Susan has been married for 47 years, has two children, four grandchildren and one great grandson. She lives in Fort Collins, Colorado, and enjoys writing, traveling, and design.
