About

Mark serves as the K-12 Entrepreneurship Specialist where he strives to help schools and students to add more entrepreneurial programs and mindsets into their schools and classrooms. He enjoys doing school presentations about the Business Model Canvas and creating tools and events that help engage youth in entrepreneurship, design-thinking and innovation. Mark has consulted for the US Air Force Academy, Intel Corp., the American School in Japan, and many other schools and institutions to help bring more design and innovation into classrooms worldwide. 

Currently Mark teaches an undergraduate IDEA210 Design Thinking course at CSU but has also spent 15+ years in middle and high school classrooms. Throughout his career he has been recognized as an outstanding educator through various awards and honors. Most notably, Mark was named National Teacher of the Year by the Milken Family Foundation – the “Grammy of teaching awards.” as well as Senior FabLearn Fellow at Stanford University. 

When Mark is not teaching or creating something you’ll find him hiking, biking, or enjoying the Colorado outdoors with his family.
