Mandy Sharpe joined the Colorado State University faculty in 2018 and teaches the undergraduate Introduction to Taxation course. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Colorado and holds her Bachelor's Degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting from Colorado State University.
Prior to returning to CSU to pursue her love of teaching, she gained over fifteen years of experience working in local and regional public accounting firms, most recently as a Tax Partner. She focused on tax planning and compliance for small business owners and enjoyed providing mentorship and training for the accounting staff. She currently also teaches an Income Tax course at Front Range Community College and for the past 3 years has been in charge of running their free tax preparation Volunteer Income Tax Assistance "VITA" site. Through partnership with Tax Help Colorado and The Piton Foundation, she oversees students as they gain valuable experience working with members of our community to provide free income tax preparation.
