Mandy Sharpe joined the Colorado State University faculty in 2018 and teaches the undergraduate Introduction to Taxation course. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Colorado and holds her Bachelor's Degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting from Colorado State University.
Prior to returning to CSU to pursue her love of teaching, she gained over fifteen years of experience working in local and regional public accounting firms, most recently as a Tax Partner. She focused on tax planning and compliance for small business owners and enjoyed providing mentorship and training for the accounting staff.
Mandy also taught an income tax course at Front Range Community College for three years. She was in charge of running their free tax preparation Volunteer Income Tax Assistance "VITA" site each Spring. Through successful partnership with Tax Help Colorado and The Piton Foundation, she oversaw students as they worked with members of our community and provided free income tax preparation.
