John Morton is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Management Department at Colorado State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Management at the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine in 2019. John conducts research on diversity and inclusion in organizations. He researches such topics as diversity-based perceptions of organizational leaders, top management team ethnic composition, and employee responses to organizational diversity and inclusion policies. A major goal of his research is to suggest strategies that organizations can implement to more effectively manage their diverse workforce. His research has been presented at various academic conferences and is in preparation for submission to leading management journals. John also has a passion for teaching the next generation of business leaders in various Management courses. In the classroom, he stresses experiential learning and teaches students practical business skills that are grounded in Management theory. John was born and raised in Hawaii and received his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and German from the University of Hawaii at Manoa (2007).
