James Brushwood joined the faculty at CSU in the Fall of 2015 after completing his doctoral degree at the University of Arizona. Prior to earning his Ph.D., James worked as an external auditor for Ernst & Young and an SEC reporting analyst for Celanese in Dallas, Texas. James earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Texas A&M University in 2006.

James teaches Intermediate Financial Accounting II in the undergraduate program and Corporate Taxation I in the Master's of Accountancy program. James' research includes publications in the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of the American Taxation Association and Advances in Accounting.
