Christine Chin is the CSU College of Business Director of Executive Programs, responsible for the Executive MBA degree program and the Executive Education professional development programs offered through the College. Previous roles at the College of Business include Director of Strategic Initiatives where she worked closely with academic leadership, administration, faculty and staff to design and implement a wide range of strategic initiatives critical to the school’s and the dean's strategic vision and goals. She also was the Interim Director of the CSU College of Business Institute for Entrepreneurship for two years, succesfully leading and implementing cross-campus extra-curricular/co-curricular entrepreneurship programs for students as well as working with faculty to build a strategic vision and support the entrepreneurship certificate.
Prior to joining the College she started Chin & Associates, a business consulting company, providing strategic and operational planning, market research and market development, and leadership and team development know-how to major corporations, start-ups and emerging companies.
Before consulting, Christine enjoyed a 20-year career with Fortune 500 media companies Knight-Ridder, Inc., and Gannett Co., Inc. holding key leadership positions around the country in marketing, strategy, circulation, and human resources before serving as the President and Publisher of The Bellingham Herald and the Fort Collins Coloradoan. During her career she developed expertise in strategic planning, B2B and B2C marketing, building high performing teams and cultures, leadership development, fostering innovation and diversity. She was an active in the Newspaper Association of America and President of the Allied Daily Newspaper Association. Christine is a former member of the Rocky Mountain Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
She believes in building community and currently serves on the Boards of Directors for Poudre Valley Health and Medical Center of the Rockies. Christine is a former Trustee of the Women’s Foundation of Colorado. Additionally, she founded Give Next, a youth philanthropy program in Larimer County in partnership with Bohemian Foundation and the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado. Over her career, Christine serve on other boards including the Poudre School District Foundation, the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce, Western Washington University Foundation, Whatcom Family YMCA, United Way of Whatcom County, and the UCLA Alumni Association.
Christine graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from UCLA and earned her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She enjoys reading, baking, relaxing by the ocean, watching Formula 1 auto racing, and spending time with her daughter and husband.
