Brooke is an Assistant Professor of Management at Colorado State University. Her research focuses on entrepreneurship with specific emphases on crowdfunding, social entrepreneurship and user entrepreneurship. Methodologically, she primarily contributes to the growing stream of research that uses natural language processing and other advanced content analysis techniques to gain deeper insights into entrepreneurial narratives and success factors. Her work has been published in top journals including Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Journal of Management. Prior to obtaining her Ph.D, Brooke spent five years working for a tech startup as well as co-founding a makers' collective for Spanish-speaking Latina artisans.
