Jim Stekelberg has been on the CSU faculty since January 2017. Jim received his Ph.D. in accounting and Master of Business Taxation from the University of Southern California, and he is a licensed CPA. Prior to beginning his academic career, Jim was a corporate tax consultant at Deloitte.

At CSU, Jim has taught introductory managerial accounting, the undergraduate tax course, and graduate classes on tax research, corporate tax, and the taxation of flow-through entities. Likewise, Jim focuses his research on taxation, and is particularly interested in projects that contribute insights into accounting practice and tax policy. Jim's research has been published in the Journal of the American Taxation Association, Public Finance Review, the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, the Journal of Information Systems, Accounting Horizons, Energy Policy, and the Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance.
