Bio

Mark Carleton has been at Liberty Media Corporation since December 2003. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer. As the head of corporate development, Carleton was responsible for acquiring, developing and monetizing investments across a range of public and private entities (including Liberty Media, Liberty Interactive, and Liberty Broadband). During his tenure at Liberty Media, Carleton has overseen transactions with an aggregate enterprise value of several billion dollars, notably including transactions involving SiriusXM, DirecTV, Starz, the Atlanta Braves, Live Nation, and Barnes and Noble. Prior to joining Liberty Media Corporation, he was a partner at KPMG LLP, where he had overall responsibility for the communications sector. Carleton was also a member of KPMG LLP's Board of Directors. His current directorships include SiriusXM Radio Inc., Live Nation Entertainment, Atlanta Braves, Inc., Barnes and Noble, Inc., and Air Methods Corporation.

Carleton received a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Colorado State University (CSU). He served as Executive in Residence at the CSU College of Business during the 2011-12 academic year. Carleton is a member of the University of Colorado Sports and Entertainment Advisory Council. He also serves on the board of directors for Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain, Inc., and U.S. Speedskating.
