Bio

Scott Bixby served most recently senior vice president and general manager of the Farmer Brothers Coffee Company, from 2015 to 2017. Scott was responsible for all direct store delivery business for the company including: customer development, marketing, finance, coffee hedging, distribution, fleet, real estate, warehouse operations and human resources, across 109 distribution centers serving 50,000 customers across the US. 

Bixby earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Colorado State University, where he served as the president of the Business College Council.

Scott began his career with Procter & Gamble in 1983 and spent 20 years in a variety of sales management and marketing roles of increasing responsibility.  In addition he played a key leadership role in building customer focused multi-functional selling teams working with most of the nation’s leading retailers. In 1999, Bixby received the P&G President’s Award for outstanding business and organizational results.

In 2002, he joined the Campbell Soup Company as vice president of sales. His responsibilities included building customer selling teams for the drug, dollar, club and mass merchandising channels of distribution. During his tenure, Campbell’s sales volume tripled in these channels and his sales teams received several awards including Target Corporation’s Supplier of the Year.

In 2004, Bixby joined Food Services of America as senior vice president and chief merchandising officer. Scott served as an officer of the $2.4B SGA Food Group, the nation’s 7th largest foodservice distributor. His responsibilities included corporate category management, procurement, supplier development, supply chain, customer marketing, brand marketing, and supplier ecommerce.

In 2013, Scott joined the Colgate Palmolive Company as vice president of customer development for the Hill’s Pet Nutrition division. Scott led the $1.3B US Hill’s Sales organization and was responsible for retail marketing, multi-functional sales teams, customer service, consumer relations & tele-sales services, and pet specialty retail and veterinary channels.

Bixby has been a guest speaker at industry forums on customer relationship/management design, and a guest lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin-McCombs School of Business on category management and customer joint business planning.

Scott and his wife, Kerry (Colorado State ’82), reside in Bartonville, Texas. Their sons, Scott (Hamilton College ’11), and Will (Colorado State ’12), reside in New York City and Scottsdale respectively.  Bixby’s hobbies include fishing, skiing, and music.
