About

My professional background spanned over thirty years in technical and managerial positions for major information technology organizations and in higher education. I was responsible for technical teams and departments or as an individual contributor in the areas of project management, networking management, technology assessment, technical account management, and training. In addition, I have been fortunate to, in parallel with my professional career, have taught information technology, business, and career courses to adult learners for over thirty years at various institutions. Therefore, truly blessed with a rewarding professional and academic career and experiences. I am now retired and focusing on teaching, my passion.

I was born in Santa Clara, Cuba, and immigrated to the United States as a political refugee with my parents and sister. Raised in Denver, Colorado. I hold undergraduate and graduate degrees from Colorado State University and the University of Denver. Further, I have had the privilege of completing academic courses and training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology/AT&T Center, Bell Laboratories, Mountain Bell, and North Dakota State University.

I also have a passion of over thirty - eight years for the sport of triathlon. Triathlon suits my independent spirit and competitive inclination.
