The College of Business Undergraduate Programs Office
provides students with a number of resources and services intended to
assist students in achieving their academic goals. The Undergraduate
Programs Office (UPO) is responsible for undergraduate recruitment, retention, and
diversity efforts for the College of Business.
Some of the Colleges recruitment efforts include Showcase CSU,
COB Open House, College presentations, and programs for student groups
such as DECA and FBLA.
The largest component of retention is advising. Academic Advising
is centralized in the College of Business and is conducted by full-time
professional Academic Advisors. Other retention efforts include the COB
Mentoring Program for new freshmen, Fall Kick-Off BBQ, Diversity Essay
Contest.
The College of Business is very proud of its efforts with regard to

Alliance (BDLA) is a group of hand selected business students who assist
the college in the implementation of recruiting and retention
initiatives as they relate to diversity appreciation and education. BDLA,
in conjunction with UPO staff, offers (workshops on Social Justice issues for business
students, faculty and staff.) The Social Justice Workshop series offers
three trainings each semester on diversity related issues. |
