We welcome your application to the Online Professional MBA program in the College of Business at Colorado State University. Our goal is to work closely with you to ensure that your application process is smooth and successful.
Applicants to the Online Professional MBA program generally must meet or exceed the following criteria:*
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year institution in any field with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- A minimum of four years of professional work experience
- Satisfactory GMAT or GRE scores or waiver**
- International applicants: a TOEFL score of 565/227/86 or higher or an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher
*While we encourage our students to meet the minimum criteria, failure to meet one may be offset by strengths in other areas, as determined by the Graduate Program Committee.
**The average GMAT score of our students is 580. Test scores must be no more than five years old. You may request a waiver to the GMAT or GRE if you have eight or more years of full-time professional experience that show a progression in responsibility and at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in accredited undergraduate work (3.0 GPA in the last 60 credits is acceptable), or have completed a graduate degree.
Complete the application process
The time required to complete the application process largely depends on your ability to gather your documentation. Completing your portion quickly will allow us to give you a decision sooner. The Graduate Admissions Office will update you periodically throughout the process, and we encourage you to contact us with any questions.
We accept applications for five start dates: August, October, January, March, and May. Please see application deadlines at top right. We strongly suggest that you not wait until the deadline, but submit your application well in advance. Admissions are competitive and made on a rolling basis.

Request official transcripts
- Request original and official transcripts.
Original and official transcripts must be received from each institution attended after high school, where any class was taken, even if transferred coursework is included on your final transcript or the coursework did not transfer to your graduating institution. Additionally, transcripts for post-graduate courses or degrees must be received. Institutions may send transcripts directly to the address below, via mail or email. If you already have sealed, official copies of your transcripts, you may mail those directly to us. (Student copies are not accepted.)
International applicants: You must submit one set of official transcripts and a degree statement with a certified translation into English from each college or university attended, or notarized/certified copies if you can't get originals. Documents must show courses and final examinations taken, marks received for each year, and degree or diploma received. These must be mailed to us.
Please send transcripts to:

Once CSU has received a transcript from an outside university, your application dashboard will reflect the date the documents were received. It's up to you to ensure that transcripts are sent from every institution you attended.
Create your eID
Visit the eID website and follow the registration instructions on the page. You will need your CSU ID to create your eID.
Log in to your application dashboard
Log in to the application dashboard with your eID. You must have completed the previous steps in this process to log in. Note that it may take up to five business days for your application, CSU ID, and EID to be created in this system.
Request professional recommendations
- Request three recommendations via the application dashboard.
Recommendations provide insight into your skills and expertise in the professional environment and areas where a graduate degree can help you improve. Three professional recommendations are required for admission.
Note: Although you provided your recommenders’ information on your CSU Graduate School Application Form, it’s your responsibility to request your recommendations via the dashboard. Once you provide the recommender information, CSU will contact your recommenders and provide them with a link to a secure form they submit on your behalf.
