Gregory J. Osberg was publisher and CEO of the Philadelphia Media Network from 2010-2012. Osberg stabilized and managed The Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily News, and Philly.com post-Chapter 11. To accelerate the digital transformation of the company, he created Project Liberty. Project Liberty included several innovative digital product launches including the first tablet/digital subscription bundle in the U.S., the first media technology incubator embedded in a media company, and the first augmented reality experience in the newspaper industry. Osberg successfully sold PMN to a group of local buyers in May 2012.
Osberg has held several leadership positions in the print and digital publishing industries including president and worldwide publisher of Newsweek and Newsweek.com, CEO of Buzzwire, and president of CNET. In 2005, Adweek named him Publisher of the Year. He serves on the board of The Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern PA and the advisory boards of The Knight Foundation and Rumble News.
Osberg earned his BS in marketing from Colorado State University, is a member of the College of Business Global Leadership Council, and was the recipient of the College of Business Distinguished Alumni Award in 2005.
