Princeton Review Ranks the College of Business #1 |
|
Earlier this month, the Princeton Review named
the College of Business the #1
Administered Business School. This ranking was achieved based on
a survey of MBA students. The College would like to recognize
and thank Rachel Stoll, Elisa Lilly, Kirk Sarell, Chris Lapham,
Sandy Dahlberg, and Susan Meyer for their hard work and
dedication. These individuals have spent countless hours on
recruiting, enrollment, day-to-day course management, advising,
and pre-graduation, just to name a few of their responsibilities. Through the leadership
of John Hoxmeier, the team has maintained a good sense of humor
amidst their demanding deadlines, new programs and experimental
delivery medium. The College of Business would
like to thank these individuals and congratulate them on a job well done. |

Cans Around the Oval - College of Business is #1! |
|
Last year, the College of Business contributed 19,254
pounds of food to Cans Around the Oval, more than any other college,
placing us second among all campus organizations. This year we set a
goal of 20,000 pounds. The College of Business far exceeded this goal with 43,268 pounds
of food to contribute! For the past nineteen years,
Colorado State University has worked with the Food Bank of Larimer
County to create the largest one-day food drive in Northern Colorado.
The huge success for the College of Business was truly a community
effort, creating partnerships that demonstrate the social context of
business. Our students, faculty, staff, the Dean's Global Leadership
Council and friends of the College all played a significant role in
breaking another record. A HUGH thank you to all who contributed! |

Board of Governors stresses "Stretch" Goals |
CSU’s Board of Governors initiated
a process of establishing five-year stretch goals for the University
at a recent Board meeting. These goals are intended to promote
planning along several dimensions including undergraduate
enrollments (access and retention), expansion of the graduate
program, research, athletics, development. Faculty and funding are
the keys to addressing each goal area. Each academic unit,
including the College of Business, will be asked for input as to how
the unit expects to respond to these stretch goals. CSU is putting
forth a record budget request to the CCHE (Colorado Commission on
Higher Education) as a first step in seeking support for these
stretch goals. Progress against putting a plan in place to address
these goals will be the subject of future Board meetings.
